When in Argao, It's Not Just About Torta

Argao, Cebu

Argao Cebu

There's definitely more to Argao than torta - a famous pastry that looks like cupcake which is topped with sugar bits, grated cheese, or raisins. Located in the southeastern part of Cebu, one can also immerse into Argao's cultural heritage as well as amazing mountains, waterfalls, and beaches.

However, our Southwalk was only a cultural and heritage walk, and so it didn't really include other places of interest aside from the heritage park and the church. Although we didn't have enough time for full-on immersion, our quick stop in Argao was still a lovely one.

I managed to take in the peaceful scenery and the feeling of living away from the city. There's really this certain vibe that I like when visiting provinces and towns in Cebu. You will feel like the time has slowed down and that you have the entire lifetime ahead of you.

With the little time that we had there, here are some of the blissful snapshots I managed to shoot. I don't have a lot, but I find each one interesting.

Admittedly, the quick visit in Argao made me want to see more of it. I know there are still a lot of interesting spots to visit in this town. It's not that far from the city. I guess you'd need about 2 hours to reach it. On my next visit, I'd be sure to explore more. ;)
