I was a deer in my past life. And present life, too.

I was a deer in my past life. And present life, too.

When I decided to create this new blog, I told myself that it's gonna be simple and classic (plus a little modern twist) but with big emphasis on the actual contents or blog posts, and no unnecessary widgets. In fact, I've been applying the minimalist blog design to my Blissful Snapshots blog year after year.

I realized I don't need anything much on my sidebar and footer. I just needed and wanted to write a blog post. I did not want a cluttered blog ever since which is also the reason I don't accept ad banners.

Aside from a simple and classic blog look, I also want to have a simple blog domain - my name. I decided to finally use my name again (I used to own ReaAlducente.com) so that it's more fitting for a personal blog.

Of course, typical me debated in my head. But also typical me is a devil's advocate of myself. I said, "I don't wanna overthink this. I have lots of things to think about and this one shouldn't be stressful because it defeats the purpose of enjoying the blogging process again."

I looked up ReaGene.com and of course it's not available. I didn't like ReaAlducente anymore because then there'd be two As beside each other. I don't like two vowels beside each other in a domain name. Haha! I know, I'm such an OC girl.

Somehow, I didn't want to get ReaGene.net so with the long list of options, I finally chose ReaGene.fun because well, I want this blog to be a reminder that I need to find joy and fun with blogging once again. Sheesh so cheesy. ;)

BUT THEN SOMETHING CAME UP! I saw that ReaGene.ninja is available so I got it instead, haha. Ya know, just to be consistent with my ninja branding plus it's also cheaper than the .fun extension. LOL

So what's in a Deer?

I just needed to come up with a blog title because it'd be weird to put Rea Gene or ReaGene.ninja on my header, right. I know, I know. This is all part of the process that I want to enjoy again. So I went with Deer R.

There was just one night when I was bored and I looked up which animal best represents me or my personality and all of a sudden, I just thought of a deer. And I found that Deer is it. It is Deer.

I was a deer in my past life. And present life, too.

You are able to bring gentleness and grace in every aspect of your life, even in the most challenging moments. By inspiration from the deer's qualities, you can achieve ambitious goals and tackle difficult situations smoothly with a touch of gentleness and grace.

Understanding of what’s necessary for survival, power of gratitude and giving, ability to sacrifice for the higher good, connection to the woodland goddess, alternative paths to a goal

People with this power animal are often described as being swift and alert. They are intuitive, often seeming to possess well developed, even extrasensory perceptions. Sometimes their thoughts seem to race ahead, and they appear not to be listening, to be somewhere else.

Deer teaches us to be gentle, to touch the hearts and minds of wounded beings who are in our lives. Don’t push people to change, rather, gently nudge them in right direction with the love that comes from deer. Love and accept people as they are. The balance of true power lays in love and compassion.

Unconditional love is what drives them in life. They love everything and everyone around them, and always try to spread positivity wherever they go. This feminine energy in a deer is very important. They represent mothers, caretakers, and all people who genuinely love helping others.

My husband will probably say "As in?! You can't just conclude you're a deer in your past life?! It doesn't work that way." to this (I can already hear the familiar voice in my head. LOL). But I am honestly stoked as to how accurate this is in my life.

It's insane but from now on, I'm going to make it a mission to read more about the Deer. And that my friends is why I called this blog "Deer R,".

It's 3:31 AM as I'm writing this and I think I need to sleep now and dream about my Deer. I've read that it's a positive sign.

Ok, good mornight - off to deeream land! ♥
